Slot machines all work in a similar fashion, but each one is a bit different. The point of the game is to get three matching symbols in a line when the wheels stop spinning, such as three cherries.

Playing Online Slots
To start the game, put a token or money in the machine. Then, push the button or pull the lever to get the reels spinning. When the reels come to a stop, you want to have three of a kind.

Payouts
Some slot machines will pay out even if you get less than three of a kind. While payouts vary on different machines and symbols, the jackpots will be listed on the slot machine somewhere.

In some casinos, slot machines will have multiple pay lines, which means players can play more than one coin, which increases the odds of winning.

So, if a player was at a machine which has three pay lines, he could place bets on each of the three rows. This increases the odds of winning because one of the lines will probably have a match. Just check for matching symbols on either the bottom, middle or top.
